WHEREAS, on January 26, 2018 the City of Asbury Park received a proposal to provide design, contract administration and inspection services from T&M Associates for improvements to the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP); and
WHEREAS, the activated carbon, which is one of the primary odor control mechanisms within the WWTP, has reached the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced; and
WHEREAS, the cost for said services shall not exceed $17,800.00 without Council approval; and
WHEREAS, the proposal is attached to this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:2-20 allows for preliminary planning expenses to be paid for; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are available in the Capital Account upon final passage of the Capital Ordinance for this project for the maximum amount as stated in this resolution, and shall update the CAF with the new account number and shall reimburse the internal line item from the Proceeds of the Bond or Note upon issuance; and
WHERAS, the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign any contracts with the vendor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Asbury Park, County of Monmouth, State of New Jersey, awards T&M Associates to provide design, contract administration and inspection services for improvements to the Waste Water Treatment Plant in an not-to-exceed amount of $17,800.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be provided by the City Clerk to the City Manager, Director of Public Works, Sewer Plant Manager Rudy Corona, CFO and the City Engineer.
