Resolution Entering an Memorandum of Understanding for lead services

WHEREAS, the City of Asbury Park is interested in expanding information and remediation of Lead Based Paint within the City; and


              WHEREAS, the Community Affairs and Resource Center’s (CARC) is administering the Lead-Safe Home Pilot Program on behalf of NJ Department of Community Affairs in the counties of Monmouth, Ocean and Atlantic; and


              WHEREAS, the City and CARC are desirous of expanding cooperation between the agencies to reduce lead within the City; and


WHEREAS, there is no cost to the City for this program; and


              WHEREAS, attached to this Resolution is an Memorandum of Understanding of roles for each agency to reduce lead within the City; and


              WHEREAS, the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the Memorandum of Understanding.


              NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Asbury Park, County of Monmouth, State of New Jersey, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign an Memorandum of Understanding between the City and Community Affairs Resource Center to expand lead information and remediation.
