Ordinance of the City of Asbury Park Amending and Supplementing Chapter VII of the Code of the City of Asbury Park Regarding Traffic and Parking Regulations

WHEREAS, the City of Asbury Park (the “City”) has previously established certain traffic regulations concerning time limit, angle, handicapped, metered and permit parking within the City; and

 

WHEREAS, the previous regulations as referenced above shall be collectively referenced herein as the “prior traffic regulations”; and

 

WHEREAS, since adoption of the prior regulations, the parking conditions have been evaluated by the City’s Parking Committee on a continuous basis; and

 

WHEREAS, the proposed new regulations are set forth in the within Ordinance and are set forth as Exhibit A; and

 

WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Mayor and Council that the revisions set forth herein shall amend and supplement the Traffic Control Regulations contained within the Chapter VII, entitled “Traffic,” of the “Code of the City of Asbury Park, New Jersey,” accordingly.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED, by the Mayor and City

Council of the City of Asbury Park, in the County of Monmouth and State of New Jersey, that the amended parking regulations are hereby approved and adopted for use within the City of Asbury Park, and that Chapter VII, entitled “Traffic,” of the “Code of the City of Asbury Park, New Jersey,” is hereby amended and supplemented as attached as Exhibit A.
