Resolution Approving the City of Asbury Park to Enter into a Memorandum of Agreement ("MOU") with the IPS Group for a Free Parking Meter Trial

WHEREAS, the City of Asbury Park intends to explore new parking meter solutions through a trial program with the IPS Group; and


WHEREAS, the IPS Group has offered to install one parking meter on a trial basis for 120 days for the City to evaluate its performance at no cost; and


WHEREAS, the IPS Group has requested to enter into an Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") agreement with the City for the purpose of conducting such a trial; and


WHEREAS, the MOU between the City and IPS Group is attached to this Resolution; and


WHEREAS, the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the MOU; and


WHEREAS, the City Clerk is hereby directed to provided executed copies of the MOU to the IPS Group, City Manager, City Attorney, Fiscal Monitor and Transportation Manage; and


              NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the City of Asbury Park (the “City”), in the County of Monmouth, State of New Jersey that the City of Asbury Park is hereby authorized to sign the MOU and the City Clerk shall distribute the MOU to the individuals outlined above.
